Onyx is a very nice stone, it let light passing throught, is not easy to find it due that is always imported from Iran, Turkey; I got this pieces from a nice marble cutter nearby. The lamp is made of three kind of onyx glued together, the shaped glass that with a piece of plexiglass stick joined with a small screw, insert in the marble in the lower part. There is a light bulb model G9 with switch and plug.
